Setup
Four things to have ready.
Nomad Studio connects to your ComfyUI installation. Prepare the backend and model files before your first generation.
A compatible generation setup
The examples on this site use an NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti with 16 GB VRAM. Memory requirements depend on the model, precision and resolution. Check each workflow against your ComfyUI setup; browser access alone does not establish GPU compatibility on macOS or other systems.
ComfyUI
ComfyUI generates the images. Connect your installation in Settings and check that it is ready before you begin.
LM Studio
The local language and vision model for prompt assistance, chat, image description and style extraction. Entirely optional — most flows never call it, so you can run the studio without it.
Image models
Install the models needed by the tools you want to use. Nomad Studio checks for missing files before generating.
First run
Pick a profile, connect, generate.
Choose a profile, then open Settings to connect ComfyUI and, optionally, LM Studio. Select your model and output folders. Initial setup time depends on whether those tools and models are already installed.
- Ping tests for both connections, so a misconfiguration shows up immediately.
- Native folder pickers for the models and output directories.
- Custom prompts with variants if you want to change how the assist levels behave.
- Export your configuration to move a working setup to another machine.
An agent interface, included
The MCP server lets Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Antigravity and Bionic generate through the studio, each with its own identity and album, using the same models and the same speed presets. See how it works
